One thing that I’ve learned in recent years is that no matter all the good you do, no matter how how hard you work, no matter how hard you strive to achieve greatness:
People are going to talk.
What I’ve learned about life in recent years is that I had better live it.
I’ve learned to take control of my happiness, because at that end of the day I’m the one responsible for it, right?
I’ve learned that no matter how close at the table they sit, no matter how much you trust them, no matter how much you love them: Never share everything held in the safe compartment of your mind.
I’ve learned that my mind is powerful and it would be a terrible thing to waste on things that don’t make me money, make me happy, and/or make me successful.
I’ve learned that you don’t put anyone in your corner who doesn’t have you in theirs.
I’ve learned that jealousy fuels hate and you can feel its heat when/if it’s facing toward you.
I’ve learned that no matter how humble you are, some will take you sharing your accomplishments as bragging due to their insecurity and them being not so proud of their own.
I say that to say this…
Cleanliness can’t exist where trash is kept. You can let the person who keeps a “dirty house” dictate your moves or you can CONTINUE sweeping your floors and washing your dishes. Keep refilling your wall plug-ins and fluffing your pillows. Keep being great.
My point is this…
Some of the most ugly people inside and out will ALWAYS find a way to talk down on how you’re living (although you’ve been through hell to get and stay there), no matter what . Again, keep being great. Some of us also prefer clutter-free lives, nice aromas, and a nice view.
Let them talk.
Until Next Time…
