Sometimes, I believe it’s not the pain we experience from the cut. Most likely, it’s the mere fact that we didn’t believe the person carrying the knife would cut us that hurts us the most.
I spent majority of the battle beating myself up. I asked myself questions in my head that I knew the answers to. “Why did I believe this?”, “How could I be so naive?” 1) Lack of knowing self-worth. 2) Not waiting on God.
I truly do put a lot of blame on myself. All of the warning signs and red flags were there. I was just so caught up in the “happily ever after” ending that I completely disregarded what was happening in the middle.
After an inconsistent few days, 24 hours of consistency was good enough for me. That one day of consistency was usually him trying to play the part to get back in position. Be mindful of that trick. It happens to the majority of those who are being used for something. The enemy wants to continue loading up on whatever it is you’re giving out for free or undoubtedly underpriced.
A man who truly wants you will make sure not a day goes by that leaves room for you to doubt your position in his life. He will make sure that you know that your time is valuable and that he appreciates it. He will make sure that you know that you are worthy and your head is made for a crown.
Its simple: God is not a God of confusion. Anything or anyone sent by him will not leave you questioning if you should take the leap.
The warnings start immediately, whether it be from what’s on their social media pages to their actions. Do their words match the life they portray? Are they claiming to not want sex, yet they are hitting you with sexual flirtation? How many lies have you caught them in?
Keep your eyes and ears open.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,” 1 Corinthians 14:33
Until Next Time,
